Spring Lookbook

Growing up, I always had fond memories of walking to school. I particularly enjoyed it when it was raining. I was both fascinated and grossed out by all the earthworms surfacing and made sure I didn't step on any. Although rainy, spring is one of my favourite seasons because it means warmer weather & summer is coming! Paying homage to my favourite season, I put together a little Spring lookbook to feature new beauty releases and hot spring fashion. This year's Spring 2017 fashion and beauty releases feature light pastel colours and all of the holographic tones you can think of.

March 2017 Empties

I haven't done an empties post before, but I've finished quite a few products last quarter. I've been trying to clear out the clutter in my life and that includes my messy desk! You can read my previous post on what I've started with. I've only saved what I used up for the month of March so going forward, I'll be more diligent to save up all products I've used! For those that are not familiar with Empties Posts, it's a round up of products that bloggers have used up for the month. So, it's bloggers essentially taking pictures of their trash of the month. If you're looking at these posts on the outside, this can be pretty strange. I personally like reading empties posts because it makes it feel like there's proof as to how much someone likes a particular product.

Project: Finish Samples

I was looking through my desk the other day and realized I had a ton of clutter. I've been reading a few books that involve minimalism and only owning things that bring you joy. This concept was new to me because growing up, I was very fortunate to have more than I needed. I had more toys than I could play with, and more books than I could read. Minimalism is becoming a very hot topic in modern society because we take a lot for granted. Think about it: when are you going to wear that sweater that still has the tags on it? After reading these books, I realized I need to declutter my life, so why not document it?

Green Beauty With Acure Cosmetics

I didn't start getting into the world of beauty until I was 13 years old. When a few of the girls in my classes were already familiar with foundations and powders, I had just gotten my first mascara. Fast forward a few years into high school, I was very interested in a more clean and healthier lifestyle which also included my beauty products. Since then, I've tried out a few natural skincare brands (such as MAHALO) as well as a few makeup brands and since I've started blogging, I've always been interested in green beauty. I've noticed that a lot of people tend to steer clear from natural brands as they're often seen as inferior to the more mainstream brands that they're used to. That may have been true in the past, but green beauty has come a long way!
