Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara Review
Mascara is a major part of my makeup routine. It was the first makeup product I ever purchased and over the years, I’ve just grown more and more interested in all of the different kinds and variations. From different brands, brushes and formulations, I’ve tried many! I’ve always loved voluminous lashes and most of my favourite mascaras give great volume in addition to length. When I’m having a good lash day, I know I’m going to have a great day ahead! I got to try the new Givenchy Noir Interdit mascara for a few weeks, keep reading and get to know what I thought about the $38 mascara!
Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara Packaging
The Noir Interdit mascara is housed in a sleek, lacquered black tube adorned with a beautiful ribbon on the side. Although the mascara tube isn’t particularly weighted, you can tell this is a luxe product. When I used to work for a large beauty company, we would bend the disposable mascara wands for easier application. The Givenchy mascara does a very similar effect and allows you to get close to the lash line to lift your lashes.
The new mascara for Fall 2017 has a plastic brush with bristles that are spread outward. Unfortunately with plastic bristles, you may find that they can be a bit sharp and irritate your lash line.
Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara Formulation
When I first used the Givenchy mascara, the formula was a good consistency and not at all too wet. Some mascara’s that I’ve tried in the past have been a more liquid consistency which creates a clumpy look. Other mascara’s can also dry and flake off creating little dots of black on your cheeks. Not cute. Fortunately, Noir Interdit does neither and I’ve found that it the paraben free formula does a great job at conditioning my lashes! Although I’m not familiar with Givenchy mascaras, Noir Interdit is quite fragrant and may not be suitable for sensitive eyes. The scent lingers after application, but I don’t notice it long after doing my hair.
Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara Final Thoughts
The Givenchy Noir Interdit mascara has an innovative 90° bendable wand which definitely helps to grab all of the lashes. I have fairly long natural lashes so I was mostly looking for volume from the Noir Interdit, but the overall effect it gave on my lashes was mostly lift and length.
Overall, I love how easy to use the Givenchy Noir Interdit is and the bendable wand is a great way to get all of your lashes. Noir Interdit is $38 CAD and promises lift, length and volume. Although my lashes mainly got lift and length, not all lashes are the same and I definitely recommend trying the new innovative technology!
