DAVIDsTEA Iced Tea Press

For quite a while, I was scared of making iced tea. I was so used to drinking store bought, I wasn't sure if making it at home would give the same effect. And yes, it's no secret that the store bought stuff is high in sugar... but let's face it: that's why it's tasty! Unfortunately, evolution has primed our taste buds to prefer sugary, high-calorie foods. Since all of that added sugar is not healthy for me, I thought I'd try making a homemade version to see how that stacks up! When I saw the DAVIDsTEA Iced Tea Press, I knew it was the answer to all my problems!

June 2017 Empties

This month, I have a ton more products to let you guys know about! For this month's June 2017 Empties post, I've been adding more products that I've finished (not just skincare or makeup based!). This summer, I've been working on more skincare since it's so important! Essentially the canvas, your face is fairly important when it comes to creating a great makeup look. As a surprise this month, my fiancé thought to join me with his empties as well! This June 2017 empties post is my first his and hers empties... Watch out, cause this post is long!

How to Organize Your Life

Over the past few days, I've been getting myself organized since it's a new month. I was thinking about what my daily activities consist of and I realized a lot of time is actually spent finding things or trying to remember who I need to send out emails to. This was fairly embarrassing because I didn't realize just how much time I wasted! (Seriously, it's not good!) I buckled down and got working on organizing my life and poof! I answer emails same day now. I'm pretty proud!

Mary Kay Beauty That Counts Baked Cheek Powder

I haven't talked about any initiatives that I'm a fan of, but I love when companies give back. During my high school years, we were required to do at least 40 hours of volunteer work. I enjoyed volunteering and giving back so much that I actually had accumulated over 115 hours! I feel that giving back is very important and that's why I love the Mary Kay Beauty That Counts Baked Cheek Powder. These rosy glow blushes give back to the community, are highly pigmented and also beautiful on the cheeks!

May 2017 Empties

If you're unfamiliar with my monthly empties posts, I've been making an effort to diminish my huge pile of samples and products (see blog post here: Project: Finish Samples). Just as a disclaimer though, I don't use more product in an effort to just get rid of it! I still only use the same amount (e.g. 1 pump for serum) and I don't drown my skin in moisturizer. I just make a more conscious effort to use the same things daily rather than dabbling in many products at once. You can check out my previous empties posts here and here... but this month's empties are different!

Avène YsthéAL Intense

When it comes to skincare, I make sure I do my research to ensure it works for my skin! I grew up having terrible acne and have always researched for hours on end trying to figure out ways to get rid of it. So from an early age, I was interested in perfecting skin. A lot of the products that I've found that actually help me the most are acid based. From AHA's to BHA's, time after time, I noticed my skin becoming more clear peel after peel. So when I heard of a product having the same efficacy as 3 peels, you bet I wanted to try it! If I could reduce the number of products in my current routine, but still get the same results... that would be great! More time in my day (to do more research!).

Sweet Peach Nighttime Look

When a new palette comes out, I find that you see a ton of looks that feature the popular shades. What about the colours that are lesser used? You know what I'm talking about... that bright blue in that palette you have, when are you ever going to use it? That's why when I got the Sweet Peach palette from Too Faced, I told myself I was going to go out of the norm of those pretty peach shades and use the greens and purples. I created a look that featured some neutral shades as I was going to an event and created this gorgeous Sweet Peach nighttime look.
