Pizzeria Libretto – Wild Blueberry Pizza

Last night, Jenny and I had the rare pleasure of making our way out to Toronto’s Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhood to try a brand new creation by Pizzeria Libretto‘s Chef Rocco Agostino (@ChefRoccoTO).

Chef Rocco was serving up a fabulous Wild Blueberry Pizza at all 3 Pizzeria Libretto locations and the Evergreen Brick Works for an exclusive one night only event!

The event is part of the festivities leading up to the 6th annual Wild Blueberry Festival at the Evergreen Brick Works on Sunday, August 23, 2015.

This unique creation featured mascarpone cheese, lemon sugar, honey, mint, and wild blueberries (North America’s native antioxidant-rich superberry).

The pizza was surprisingly tasty with notes of blueberry pie and smooth, creamy cheese. It reminded Jenny (@Jennybeaned) of a fresh blueberry cannoli. This pizza was definitely worth the trip into the city!

We can’t wait to see what other creations Chef Rocco comes up with next!!!
