Project: Finish Samples

I was looking through my desk the other day and realized I had a ton of clutter. I’ve been reading a few books that involve minimalism and only owning things that bring you joy. This concept was new to me because growing up, I was very fortunate to have more than I needed. I had more toys than I could play with, and more books than I could read. Minimalism is becoming a very hot topic in modern society because we take a lot for granted. Think about it: when are you going to wear that sweater that still has the tags on it? After reading these books, I realized I need to declutter my life, so why not document it?

Project: Finish Skincare Samples

When it comes to beauty products, I have anything and everything. From sample sized products of foundations, to serums, moisturizers and even fragrances that I haven’t even smelled… it’s clear I have too many. I chose a few products from my sample stockpile to use up and start to clear away the clutter.

These brands can be found either in the drugstore or in high end departments stores and I’m fairly familiar with them all. I haven’t tried any of these skincare samples before (except for the Glamglow Supermud mask!) so I’m happy to try them all out and see what happens!

I’ll be documenting my Samples Project in a monthly empties post talking about which products worked (or didn’t work!) for me. This edition mostly consists of skincare samples, but there will be different products next time! Every so often, I’ll be adding more samples to the project and I will let you guys know in a blog post what is up next.

Do you have a lot of samples? With spring coming up, are you thinking of doing a declutter?
