Luxe Shopping: Saks Canada
If you haven’t heard already, Saks Fifth Avenue is now in Canada! Saks has had a rich history since 1867 and was acquired by The Hudson’s Bay Company in 2013. It was a pretty exciting retail launch in Canadian history. With the luxe gold details and mannequins donning high-end fashion, it was every bit magical. I walked through the opening of Saks Canada and their first flagship store at the Toronto Eatons Centre and it was spectacular!
With three levels, Saks Canada has so much to offer. The first level consists of women’s purses and accessories as well as many mini stores featuring the latest styles of Celine, Dior (coming Spring 2016), Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino and Prada (coming Spring 2016) as well as jewellery from many designers. The bottom floor is currently awaiting Pusateri’s in Spring 2016 which will make the commute from the mall to the subway all the more easy.
Alexander McQueen is my favourite brand in terms of accessories and I got so excited to see a larger collection than other stores that I’ve been to like Holt Renfrew and Hudson’s Bay. Here’s a collection of their Pre-Spring Summer 2016 bags.. structured bags are in!
On the other end of the first floor, the beauty and fragrance department was astonishing. In addition to high end brands like Tom Ford, Cle de Peau, La Mer, Chantecaille and Laura Mercier that you can find at Holt Renfrew and Hudson’s Bay, Saks features new brands to Canada such as Trish McEvoy and By Terry as well as new fragrance lines such as EX NIHILO, Kilian and Le Labo.
Isn’t the Aesop display just gorgeous?!
In addition to high end beauty brands, more affordable skincare lines such as Mario Badescu and Indie Lee are found in the Apothecary section of the beauty area.
The beauty and fragrance section from an aerial view displays just how many brands are all in one location!
The second floor of Saks Canada has more women’s accessories such as the 10022-shoe collections and accessories. This is also where fashionable men can find their made-to-measure luxury clothing items and accessories as well.
As you’re walking up and down the levels, it’s noticable that Hudson’s Bay and Saks Canada are very much intertwined. From one store to the next, you’d never guess!

Can’t forget ladies fashion! The third floor of Saks Canada has designer collections such as Alexander McQueen and Givenchy as well as the fur salon and many other clothing brands.
Have you been to the new Saks Canada location yet? Are you excited to finally get another high end store in the city?
