Spring Lookbook
Growing up, I always had fond memories of walking to school. I particularly enjoyed it when it was raining. I was both fascinated and grossed out by all the earthworms surfacing and made sure I didn’t step on any. Although rainy, spring is one of my favourite seasons because it means warmer weather & summer is coming! Paying homage to my favourite season, I put together a little Spring lookbook to feature new beauty releases and hot spring fashion. This year’s Spring 2017 fashion and beauty releases feature light pastel colours and all of the holographic tones you can think of.
Each year, I find myself most wanting to follow fashions in spring. Winter is over and you’re ready for a new season and there are tons of new prints in stores. As I was looking through stores, I noticed bomber jackets were back. Many of the bombers featured embroidery and looked more casual chic. With the gorgeous embroidery, dressing the bomber is easy. I paired it with distressed jeans (seen below) and Converse sneakers. This look gives it a laidback feel, but the cute powder pink backpack pulls it together.
The Spring 2017 beauty products featured this season are light colours. These colours also lean toward a holographic sheen as well as rainbow colour scheme. I’ve seen so many new releases for Spring 2017 that are more ethereal and highlighters are in!
One of the many magical releases is the Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye & Cheek palette feature gorgeous shades that are perfect for spring. Shortly after the relaunch of the Sweet Peach collection, Too Faced released their new highlighters. Available in 3 colours, the Love Light Prismatic Highlighters are a unique liquid-to-powder formula. Shown above, Ray of Light is a gorgeous rose gold shade that compliments any skin tone. At $38 CAD/$30 USD for 0.32 oz, it’s a good value compared to other highlighters on the market.
The newest of the Guerlain fragrance family, Mon Guerlain is a warm, oriental fragrance. Starting at $78 CAD/$66 USD for 30 mL, this fragrance has key notes of jasmine, vanilla and lavender. Housed in a gorgeous bottle, this sweet fragrance is a great addition to any spring wardrobe.
