March 2017 Empties

I haven't done an empties post before, but I've finished quite a few products last quarter. I've been trying to clear out the clutter in my life and that includes my messy desk! You can read my previous post on what I've started with. I've only saved what I used up for the month of March so going forward, I'll be more diligent to save up all products I've used! For those that are not familiar with Empties Posts, it's a round up of products that bloggers have used up for the month. So, it's bloggers essentially taking pictures of their trash of the month. If you're looking at these posts on the outside, this can be pretty strange. I personally like reading empties posts because it makes it feel like there's proof as to how much someone likes a particular product.

Project: Finish Samples

I was looking through my desk the other day and realized I had a ton of clutter. I've been reading a few books that involve minimalism and only owning things that bring you joy. This concept was new to me because growing up, I was very fortunate to have more than I needed. I had more toys than I could play with, and more books than I could read. Minimalism is becoming a very hot topic in modern society because we take a lot for granted. Think about it: when are you going to wear that sweater that still has the tags on it? After reading these books, I realized I need to declutter my life, so why not document it?

AMOREPACIFIC Skincare Review

In the spring, we need to switch up our skincare to combat the changing weather and humidity. With aging skin, this can be a challenge as you need to rehydrate the skin without over moisturizing. AMOREPACIFIC is a luxury skincare brand from Korea with innovative ingredients that are specially patented, making them one of the leading cosmetic companies in South Korea. These high performance skincare products are amazing for those that are more concerned with keeping your skin hydrated and warding off fine lines and wrinkles.

Brand Spotlight: The Honest Company

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links. Honest Essentials In case you're not familiar with The Honest Company, their story, and their products, it's my honor to enlighten you. Honest was founded by actress and business woman, Jessica Alba, and Christopher Gavigan, former CEO of Healthy Child Healthy World (a national nonprofit empowering parents to protect their children from toxic risks). They both strongly believe that every person deserves products that are unquestionably safe, eco–friendly, convenient, affordable, and beautiful. Born out of their frustration to find such products readily available, they decided to join forces and create their own under the name, The Honest Company.

Fig + Yarrow Clay Mask

Fig + Yarrow has a variety of masks to offer. I love facial masks, but powdered facial masks are the best! Why? When the ingredients are already mixed in the container, the active ingredients are often a lot less potent. This makes for less of a useful mask. Not just that, but mixing my skincare up makes it a lot more fun! DSC_5856_picmonkeyed DSC_5866_picmonkeyed
