The Dual Baked Shadow in shade 02 PK02 has a light pink and black shade, both with hints of shimmer.

Due to the fact that this is a baked shadow, this requires less fillers and creates a more pigmented product. The velvety feel of the shadow made for an easier application.

Baked shadows can be applied dry or wet, intensifying the colours if needed. Here, I applied the pink wet and the black dry.

THEFACESHOP eyeliner smudgeproof gelset liner

Next, the Gelset smudgeproof auto liner in colour 01 black is a pencil-style liner that doesn’t require sharpening as it’s retractable. This easy-to-use style is great for the girl on the go as it’s one less thing you need to carry in your makeup bag! The creamy texture of the liner helps to adhere to your skin and makes tightlining easy!

The smudgeproof formula allows your eye makeup to stay on for hours which I’ve demonstrated below:

I used a wet paper towel and rubbed it across my skin to see whether or not it would be removed. After 20 times of trying and what seemed like forever, it’s true! Although it didn’t stay as dark as it was initially applied (see above photo), the eyeliner stayed on without smudging.

This Freshian Volumizing mascara formula is both volumizing and lengthening. I actually really liked the formula of this mascara, but unfortunately since I have a few straight lashes, the non-waterproof formula made my lashes droop & weren’t able to hold the curl properly. I recommend putting another coat of your favourite waterproof formula on top of this mascara for all you straight-lashed beauties!

The Dual Shading Pact has a dark shading powder as well as a blush to help with keeping your face makeup on point. I got the shade 02 Chocolate Brown/Pink Brown. This combination of chocolate brown and dusty rose created a nice flush for my medium-toned skin. The chocolate brown might be a bit dark for light-skinned girls so use a light hand when contouring!

The compact is magnetic which makes for a super sleek look. I usually prefer the little brush to be at the bottom of the compact as I hardly ever use those minis.

THEFACESHOP lipstick Face it

Lastly, a look would not be complete without the finishing touch of a lipstick! The Face It Artist Touch in style Lesson 03, shade PP401 honestly kind of scared me when I saw the colour! Although a bright orange, this intense colour applied quite sheer with a smooth and moisturizing finish. This formula is said to moisturize dry and chapped lips without clumping to make lips smooth and looking fuller.

Unfortunately, this lipstick fell short of impressing me. The formula was too sheer and resulted in some streaking when applied on my lips. The winter weather can wreak havoc on my skin and I need all the moisturizing I can get! When my lips got dry, this lipstick cling to the dry parts resulting in an uneven look. (See completed look)

THEFACESHOP lipstick Face it review

Based on all of the products I received, the Gelset eyeliner was my favourite of the bunch and the lipstick fell short of its promise.

Using THEFACESHOP beauty products will help you sparkle and shine throughout the holiday season!
