Too Faced Melted Chocolate Review

I love Too Faced and have always enjoyed their cute and girly packaging. When they came out with their line of scented makeup, I couldn’t resist! The Melted Chocolate is a liquified metallic lipstick which is a revamp on the bestselling original melted and melted metal liquified lipsticks by infusing antioxidant-rich cocoa powder into the formula!

The Melted Chocolate comes in 6 cocoa-infused shades, 3 being metallics. At $29.00 CAD for 12mL, it’s on par for many higher-end lipstick prices. Promising high-impact, saturated colour, this chocolate scented liquid lipstick is sure to please any makeup lover.

I got the colour Metallic Candy Bar which is a medium shade of brown with iridescent glitter. The shade reminds me of toffee and the opacity is buildable. The glitter is found all within the gloss but it’s so finely milled that it doesn’t look crazy.

At first swatch, the product isn’t drying nor sticky on the lips. It also has a light cocoa scent that’s super uplifting! Metallic Candy Bar is a light brown colour that’s reminds me of a light toffee caramel.

Although this swatch was a few swipes of product, I wouldn’t personally wear this product alone (the above picture really shows that my lips look lacking!). I would wear it paired with a lipstick, where it creates a nice darker hue with a bit of shimmer. Pairing this shade with a “My Lips But Better” lipstick creates a grunge look that’s wearable anywhere.
