Wedding Wednesday: Wedding Inspiration
Sometimes we all need a little inspiration! I’ve been getting a lot of questions asking about our future wedding and what we plan on doing. Honestly speaking, we’ve been having a difficult time deciding because there are so many choices! From winter wonderlands, to classic themes, vintage styles, rustic feels… there are so many different choices that it took us a long time before we finally decided on something. If you need a little wedding inspiration, I’ll let you in on a little secret & how easy it was for us to decide!
Wedding inspiration can actually be found anywhere. We first looked on Pinterest for inspiration. There are tons of photos to look up with whatever style you’re drawn to.

After looking around Pinterest, my fiancé and I found that we were really drawn to the ethereal look and aesthetic of the forest/outdoorsy style of rustic weddings. We wanted to look at more photos and check out different themes that we may not necessarily know about or come to mind so we checked out a couple books.
Schiffer Publishing, known for their wide range of book selection, sent me “The White Dress in color: Wedding Inspirations for the Modern Bride” to look through and I found so many more wedding themes that didn’t even cross my mind.
These photoshoots of real weddings showcase the creativity of the couples as well as their personalities. This book features behind-the-scene tips on tips and ideas on picking colour palettes, textures, flowers and of course, the dress.
This book features the creativity of wedding professionals as well as photographers and it’s great to read about particular shots that were favourites and why certain elements were used.
I loved flipping through this book for inspiration and seeing all of the creative minds come together to make this one special day so perfect for these couples. It really makes me excited to start planning my own wedding!
Now that we’ve picked our rustic theme and our general month (autumn!), it’s onto the rest of the fun stuff: venues, flowers, dresses, colours.. everything!
