Have you ever gone shopping and then realize what a mess you just created? Yup, that’s me right now. This year, I went all out during the Sephora VIB sale and I’m not just saying that! I kind of surprised myself because I haven’t exactly been using as many beauty products as I once was. Nevertheless, I bought a lot more than I thought I would! Without further adieu, I present to you… my massive Sephora VIB haul!
My Sephora VIB Haul
Let me preface this post with the fact that these purchases pushed me over the edge and I made VIB Rouge. I feel like that is enough to sort of set the scene, don’t you think? I’ve only ever made VIB Rouge once before and that was when I was still working within the beauty industry. (Imagine that, eh? Surrounded by beauty products and still feel like buying!) This year, Sephora had a few sales and I wrote about the previous VIB Sale featuring my Sephora wish list and added some tips and tricks. I picked up mostly skincare for my Sephora VIB haul with the exception of one makeup product.
Dr. Jart+ Holiday Gift Sets
Dr. Jart+ always has amazing Christmas bundles so it’s no surprise that I grabbed two this year! Last year I got the Dr. Jart+ Tarot sheet mask set which featured a cute theme and had seven different sheet masks. This year, Dr. Jart+ came out with a Ceramidin gift set as well as another sheet mask set. I’ve never tried the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin cream on my skin, but my friend swears by their products and insisted I try it. (She bought 3 sets herself!)
The sheet mask set, Dr. Jart+ Mask Heroes Face Savers, features a cute superhero theme and contains six sheet masks (Clearing Solution, Brightening Solution, Water Replenishment and Pore Minimalist), two of which are rubberized (Firm Lover and Hydration Lover). The set retails for $45 CAD/$36 USD.
Sephora Sheet Masks
In addition to the many sheet masks I already own, I purchased a few more loose sheet masks in order to keep Masking Monday’s alive! I’m not generally fond of buying loose sheet masks as it can create quite a bit of waste, but I love using sheet masks as it’s an easy way to incorporate self-care into my nightly routine so I jumped on the opportunity to get them at an additional 20% off!
I tried to focus on sheet masks that would be beneficial for my combination, dehydrated skin (read more about my skin story).
Sephora Favorites Lashstash 2018
For Holiday 2018, the Sephora Favorites Lashstash feature deluxe, mini, and full-size favs at one great price! This gift set retails for $48 USD/$58 CAD which is a particularly a great deal as it has two full-size mascaras. I picked this up right away as I’ve been purchasing the Lashstash from previous years as well. Most high-end mascaras are quite expensive and I can never finish an entire tube before the 3-months expiration, so this sampler is a great way for me to test mascaras throughout the year.
Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Serum
In terms of skincare, serums are one of my favourite steps. I love using serums year-round because they make a huge difference to my skin. The Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Serum is an AHA resurfacing serum which essentially means that it can act as an exfoliant. This formula is a blend of 14% AHA/BHA and includes honey to hydrate. I’m currently still struggling with acne scarring (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) and always on the hunt for the next best thing to help an uneven skin tone.
Summer Fridays products are always being featured on social media and being talked about in the skincare community. I’ve never used Summer Fridays products before, but thought this sale would be the perfect opportunity to start! I picked up both the Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask and also the brand new Summer Fridays Overtime Mask.
Winter 2018 Sephora VIB Haul
I also usually use this 20% off sale as a way to pick up gifts for people for Christmas! It’s a great way to get the bulk of my holiday shopping done as early! Have you purchased anything from the Sephora VIB sale? I’d love to know what you picked up!
